contrary to popular belief, it is not actually illegal to be homosexual in Jamaica! Being homosexual does not contravene any of the existing laws in Jamaica. The law makes certain 'homosexual acts' illegal and these laws are used to persecute gay men, making it difficult for the gay community to advance. yani, it's a shame that while gays and lesbians have made progress in many ways it is still a taboo subject back in our homeland. If we are all made in the image of god, who are we to judge others? Governments like these should not throw brick stones when they live in glass houses themselves! Gay rights are not special rights but human rights and everyone deserves to live their life how they choose.
